Attending a polytechnic was a deliberate choice –Obisanya, distinction graduate

Obisanya Folakemi, 27, graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology, Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State with a distinction in the 2013/2014 academic session. In this interview with TUNDE AJAJA, she shares her experience as a student

What could make it easy for students to have distinction?

In my view, it is very easy to have distinction only if you are determined. Determination plays a very important role and that was why it was rare for me to have B or BC in any of my courses. Rather, it was easy for me to have A and AB simply because I was determined to be excellent. Other important things students should pay attention to are the need to be focused, manage their time very well and study hard as well as do extra reading. Those things worked for me.
