Nasarawa Poly introduces autotronics

The Rector, Nasarawa Sate Polytechnic Lafia, Dr Silas Gyar says the institution has introduced new courses during the 2016/2017 academic session including autotronics and metertronics.

He also said the institution was waiting for National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to renew the accreditation of all its courses.

The rector who disclosed this yesterday during an interview with newsmen in Lafia, said the accreditation status of all courses offered by the institution was withdrawn in August 2016 adding that every accreditation was for the period of five years and courses in the institution were accredited last in 2011.

“The institution has put everything in place to meet the requirements for accreditation and it has already re-applied and just awaiting the team to come,” he said.

He said the polytechnic had also bought all the equipments needed for the establishment of a local Radio/TV station which was also awaiting the approval of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to commence operation.
