SAD NEWS: Help Me, I’m Dying Slowly — Ex-Kogi Director Cries Out

A former assistant director in the Kogi State Ministry of Agriculture, Shaibu Muhammed Eyigege, has appealed to the state government to revisit his case nine years after he was removed from the state civil service over allegations of certificate forgery. Eyigege, who hails from Bassa local government area of Kogi State, said he had endured years of hardship, ill health and emotional trauma since his removal during a civil service screening exercise conducted under the administration of former governor Yahaya Bello.

Speaking in an interview, the father of 14 children with two wives described his condition as “dying installmentally,” saying life had become unbearable for him and his family.

“At some point, I felt like taking my own life because the suffering became unbearable,” he said, “But as a Muslim, suicide is a sin. That is the only reason I did not do it..CONTINUE FULL READING>>>
