Darlington Orji, the caretaker Chairman of Ikwerre local government area, has stated that the 27 Rivers State lawmakers led by Martins Amaewhule submitted sworn affidavits confirming their departure from the PDP. He said during an event, Wike expressed disappointment that the lawmakers left the PDP without consulting him.

Orji also said these lawmakers had attended a public event where they chanted slogans supporting the APC.

In Orji’s words: “The present FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in one of their functions also blamed them for leaving the party without referring to him.

And it is very unfortunate that my brother (Lucky Ottos) will say the Martins Amaewhule-led faction didn’t defect and they (APC) are still wooing them. I don’t know what they mean by wooing men that will go to a program and shout the slogan of APC and say change.
