The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 16-year-old girl accused of poisoning her ex-boyfriend and four others to death. According to a viral video making the round on social media, the suspect identified as Aisha Suleiman, allegedly planned to k!ll her ex-boyfriend with poisoned pepper soup but unfortunately his friends, including his current girlfriend, consumed the meal.
The spokesperson of the command, SP Moses Joel Iyamu, who confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday, October 31, said that operatives of Jattu Division rescued the suspect as she was about to be lynched by some young men from the community.
The PPRO added that the case was transferred next day to the State Criminal Investigation Department for discrete investigation.
