The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Adamawa state Council has observed that some private and commercial drivers are illegally using the union’s stickers to evade the law.

Following a State Congress held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, the NUJ members unanimously resolved to take action against these offenders.

A one-week ultimatum has been given, effective from November 3, 2024, for the removal of the unauthorized stickers.

Only authorized NUJ members displaying valid ID cards will be permitted to use the stickers.

The Police, DSS, Road Safety, and other security agencies are by this notice informed to be on the alert and lookout for offenders

A statement signed by Ishaka Donald Dedan (Chairman) and Fidelis Jockthan, (Secretary) fumed at the way and manner commercial drivers, others commuters are illegally using it for unauthorized purposes.
