Niger State Governor Umaru Bago expressed sadness over Sunday’s fuel tanker explosion that claimed lives and property along Lapai-Agaie Road in the Agaie Local Government Area. He said in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, the governor said he is pained by the unfortunate incident and the colossal loss incurred.

While commiserating with all those who suffered losses in the incident, he said the State Government through the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and other relevant organisations have been mobilised to the scene of the accident for rescue operations and other necessary actions.

He however called for calm among the residents of the affected area and urged road users to be cautious and adhere to traffic regulations to safeguard lives and property.
