Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has taken a hardline position on how Nigeria should deal with Boko Haram insurgents, rejecting calls for rehabilitation and insisting that captured fighters should not be spared.
In a strongly worded statement, the cleric questioned the idea of imprisoning or reforming members of the terrorist group, arguing that it is impossible to determine whether they have truly repented. He maintained that showing mercy to such individuals could endanger innocent lives and undermine national security efforts.
