According to a report by The Times of Israel, on Tuesday April 21, 2026, President Donald Trump has reaffirmed his administration’s stance on the success of the June 2025 military strikes against Iran, asserting that key nuclear infrastructure was completely destroyed during the mission known as “Operation Midnight Hammer.”
The President described the operation as a decisive blow to the Islamic Republic’s nuclear capabilities.
He claimed that the strikes effectively reduced sensitive facilities to “nuclear dust,” suggesting that any effort by Tehran to retrieve or utilize buried radioactive materials would be a protracted and highly complex endeavor.
President Trump’s comments also included a pointed critique of media coverage surrounding the military campaign.
He accused major news outlets of failing to acknowledge the precision and effectiveness of the U.S. operation, stating:
“Operation Midnight Hammer was a complete and total obliteration of the Nuclear Dust sites in Iran. Therefore, digging it out will be a long and difficult process. Fake News CNN, and other corrupt Media Networks and Platforms, fail to give our great aviators the credit they deserve Always trying to demean and belittle LOSERS!!!”
The President has consistently utilized the success of the June 2025 mission which targeted the Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan facilities with specialized bunker-busting munitions as a cornerstone of his strategy to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
In recent days, he has further claimed that Tehran had reached an agreement to surrender its enriched nuclear stockpiles, positioning this as a vital step in broader regional peace efforts.
