According to a report by Daily Trust on Friday, May 22, 2026, Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress and member of its National Working Committee, has issued strong criticism of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with Okonkwo describing the current government in very critical terms while pointing to rising economic pressure, insecurity concerns, and increasing public debt as major issues affecting the country.

He expressed concern that many Nigerians are experiencing difficult living conditions and that national expectations have not been met since the administration assumed office.
