2027 Election: Primate Ayodele Warns Tinubu of Potential Betrayal by APC Governors

According to a report by DAILY POST on Sunday 29th March 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stern warning to President Bola Tinubu over possible betrayal from some All Progressives Congress (APC) governors ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In a statement released through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele cautioned that while some governors remain fully aligned with the President, others are “one-leg in and one-leg out,” signaling divided loyalties within the ruling party.

“Not all APC governors are with you for your presidency; some are one leg in and one leg out,” the prophet said.

According to Primate Ayodele, Tinubu needs to pay close attention to several northern states where winning support may be challenging:

Kano: Requires strong political groundwork.

Kaduna: Will be difficult to win without careful strategy.

Katsina, Kebbi, Gombe: Risk of betrayal if not properly engaged.

Adamawa: Predicted to be hard-fought, with opposition activities ongoing.

Benue: Likely to present political hurdles.

Ayodele also highlighted the presence of opposition efforts, noting that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is actively making inroads in northern states, reportedly negotiating alliances that could threaten Tinubu’s re-election.

The prophet named states where Tinubu can expect relative stability and support, provided he manages them well:

Taraba, Niger, Sokoto, and Borno: Stronghold states that are expected to back the President if he does not take them for granted.

“He shouldn’t joke with these states at all. Atiku is doing serious underground work in the north, and they are almost striking a deal with him; However, these states are standing strong for the president,” Ayodele warned.
