The stunning news broke around 10:00 am ET Monday morning that Judge Aileen Cannon had dismissed the classified documents case against Trump in a 93-page order finding that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s appointment violated the Appointments Clause of the U.S. Constitution.
Cannon’s ruling cites Justice Clarence Thomas’ concurrence from the recent Supreme Court immunity case multiple times.
In Trump’s immunity ruling, Justice Thomas all but invited Judge Cannon to find Jack Smith was unconstitutionally appointed as special counsel.

Holmes added that they were expecting a statement from the Trump team “any moment now.”
“But Jim, we really cannot stress how big of a big deal this is, how big of a deal this is for the former president and for his team,” Holmes continued. “There were many around Donald Trump who saw this case as the most solid case against him. He had — there was evidence piling up against him, and his team really believed that this was probably the most significant case against him. So this being dismissed is a huge deal.”
The Trump team’s “tactic all along,” said Holmes, has been “to delay, delay, delay with the hope that Donald Trump was to be elected in November and those federal cases against him — both this case and the January 6th case — could be dismissed by the former president once he was back in office.”
Holmes concluded by noting that the special’s counsel was widely expected to appeal “but this is a huge victory for the former president when it comes to his legal issues.”>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
