BREAKING: Housewife Docked For Stealing Co-Wife Baby’s Placenta After Child Birth

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the incident happened at Oasis Crescent Off Elias Street, Tedi area of Lagos, where she resides with her husband, who later got married to Bukola as second wife.
She was charged for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace under the Criminal Laws of the State for removing the placenta, which belongs to Bukola.

According to the Police, the suspect got married to her husband, Arumashan, years ago and had children. But the husband decided to get another wife and got married to Bukola.
This did not go down well with Mary who was said to have been threatening both her husband and Bukola for bringing in a second wife and for Bokola to have agreed to get married to her husband.
Trouble was said to have started after the embattled Bukola was delivered of the baby at an undisclosed hospital and gave the placenta to her husband to bury as he agreed with Bukola. The man went home with the placenta but Mary went where he kept the placenta and took it away without informing her husband.
The matter was reported to the Police at Onikere Division. The operatives moved into action, arrested and detained Mary for interrogation over her alleged conduct.
The Police found her culpable after interrogation and consequently charged her before the Ojo Magistrate Court for the alleged offence.

Part of the charge read: “That you Mary Arumashan on the 13th July, 2024 at about 1315hrs at No. 30 Oasis Crescent Off Elias Street Tedi in the Magisterial District, did conduct yourself in a manner likely to cause the breach of peace by removing the baby’s placenta belonging to One Bukota Arumashan without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary and punishable under Section 168 (d) of Criminal Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.
She pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Esther Adesulu, asked the Court to give a date for hearing since she pleaded not guilty to enable the Police to prove that she actually committed the alleged offence.

The matter was adjourned till 24th August, 2024, for mention while the defendant was remanded in custody at the correctional center pending when she will perfect her bail conditions.>>>CONTINUE FULL READING HERE
