The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the longlist of Nigerian tertiary institution ratings ahead of the commencement of the 2024 admission in Nigeria. According to JAMB bulletin, the considerations are most subscribed institutions by candidates, most National in terms of admission spread, most improved in gender balance, most international students; admission of foreign (non-Nigerian) students; and most compliant to admission guidelines.

Below are the 10 top universities in the list:
University of Ilorin, UNILORIN

The University of Ilorin, also known as Unilorin, is a federal university located in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. Established in 1975, it has grown to become one of the most sought-after institutions in the country, known for its academic excellence and research opportunities.

JAMB in its 2024 rating rated the institution as the second-best in Nigerian and 75,967 applicants subscribed in the institution as at 2023/2024 academic session. Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka
