According to Fox News, US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran’s military capabilities have been severely weakened, insisting the country has suffered heavy losses in the ongoing conflict.
Speaking about the situation, Trump said Iran’s armed forces had been largely dismantled following recent military actions.
According to him, the country has lost key elements of its defence structure, leaving it significantly vulnerable.
“They’ve lost their navy. They’ve lost their air force. They have no anti-aircraft apparatus at all. They have no radar. Their leaders are gone. And we could do a lot worse,” Trump said, suggesting that Iran’s ability to defend itself has been greatly diminished.
His remarks come amid escalating tensions in the Middle East after the United States and Israel launched strikes against Iran, an action that has fueled a wider regional conflict and raised concerns about the stability of global energy markets.
Trump further warned that American forces still possess the capacity to inflict even more damage if they choose to intensify their operations.
He indicated that the United States could quickly neutralize what remains of Iran’s infrastructure and military strength.
“We could take them out by this afternoon, in fact, within an hour, they literally would never be able to build that country back,” he added.
The US president’s comments underscore the aggressive posture his administration has taken since the conflict began.
His statements also reflect Washington’s view that Iran’s strategic and military leadership has been severely disrupted by the recent attacks.
Meanwhile, the ongoing hostilities have continued to raise fears of broader instability across the Middle East.
Analysts warn that further escalation between Iran and the United States could draw in additional regional actors and threaten major global oil supply routes.
As the conflict unfolds, the international community remains concerned about the humanitarian and economic consequences of a prolonged war in a region already grappling with deep political and security tensions.
