This declaration follows the passing of his father, Ali Khamenei, due to an Israeli airstrike on February 28. North Korean state media stated that the nation honors the choice made by the Iranian people regarding their leader.
North Korea has condemned the United States and Israel for actions they claim disrupt both regional peace and global stability. The country accused these two nations of attempting to meddle in Iran’s political structure and sovereignty.
Pyongyang has consistently opposed the actions of the US and Israel in the Middle East. Officials characterized the assaults on Iran as unlawful and hazardous, cautioning that such actions could unsettle the region and warrant international rebuke.
“We honor the rights of Iranians and their decision to choose their supreme leader. American assaults on Iran are unlawful actions that can never be accepted,” North Korea stated.
