The lack of financial backing was a significant challenge for the panel. Obono-Obla noted that the panel was denied funding and lacked basic facilities until a federal agency intervened. Despite these obstacles, his team remained motivated by patriotism and achieved notable successes.
Obono-Obla speculated that investigations into the $7 billion CBN bailout, the failure of an oil company to pay $1.9 billion from an oil block purchase, and the illegal takeover of a building by a billionaire contributed to his troubles.
