There have been several reactions from social media users after it was announced that the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has rearrested human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore.
This announcement was contained in a report that was published on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on Friday, October 24, 2025.
This is coming after Omoyele Sowore and several other people who partook in the #EndNnamdiKanu protests in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, were arrested and detained.
However, after their arrest, a Magistrate Court in the Kuje area of Abuja, on Friday, granted N500,000 bail to Omoyele Sowore and Aloy Ejimakor, a member of the legal team that represented the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
However, the Nigeria Police Force has now rearrested the human rights activist after he was granted bail. In the report that surfaced, it was stated that the police officers stormed the court in Kuje and whisked the human rights activist away.
