According to a report by The Times Of Israel on March 13, 2026, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they launched a coordinated attack involving missiles and drones targeting Israel, carried out alongside their Lebanese ally Hezbollah.
In a statement released by the Guards, the operation was described as part of activities marking the annual Quds Day, an event traditionally used by Iran and its allies to demonstrate support for the Palestinian cause and opposition to Israel.
The Iranian force said the strikes were conducted jointly with Hezbollah, signaling coordination between Tehran and the powerful Lebanese armed group that has long been aligned with Iran. Quds Day is observed every year and often features political messaging, rallies, and statements backing Palestinians.
Throughout the day, there were intermittent rocket launches from Lebanon toward northern Israel. However, officials indicated that the exchanges remained limited, with no large-scale barrages reported at the same time Iran carried out its missile and drone attacks during the afternoon.
