Theatre Commander of the Joint Task Force Northeast Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, has announced that President Bola Tinubu has approved a salary increase for troops fighting in the Northeast.
Addressing the troops in a media coverage by News Central, Major General Abubakar conveyed the president’s personal concern for those on the frontlines.
“The President has been very concerned about what is happening. Yesterday — I am sure you people read when the minister was speaking with all the service chiefs on the need to strengthen security. And right now, the Air Force has brought in additional aircraft to support our operations. But we must also always do our own part as soldiers.
