Iran: For Obi To Suggest That This Is Due To Lack Of Strategic Planning, That’s Typical Of Obi—Morka

The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Felix Morka, has rejected claims that rising fuel prices in Nigeria are the result of poor government planning, describing the assertion as irresponsible.

Morka made the remarks during an interview on TVC News on Friday, March 13, 2026, while responding to comments by former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, who had linked the increase in petroleum prices to what he described as a lack of strategic planning by the Nigerian government.

During the interview, Morka was asked about criticism from Obi and other commentators who argued that Nigeria lacks a buffer to absorb global economic shocks, particularly amid rising tensions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.

Responding to the question, the APC spokesman dismissed the claim and said the criticism did not accurately reflect the global circumstances surrounding the rise in oil prices. See More/Details
