Senator Natasha H. Akpoti-Uduaghan has paid tribute to her late father, Dr Jimoh Abdul Akpoti, who served as a member of the Federal House of Representatives during Nigeria’s Third Republic.
The Kogi Central lawmaker shared the message on her verified Instagram page, @natashaakpoti, alongside a photograph taken at the Senate chamber with several senators she described as her late father’s former colleagues.
According to Akpoti-Uduaghan, the distinguished men pictured with her include Senators Bilbis Ikra, Rufai Hanga, Lere Oyewumi, and Tahir Monguno. She added that Senator Orji Uzor Kalu and Senator Ambassador Ahmad Madori, although not captured in the photograph, were also present in the chamber with them.
She referred to the lawmakers as her “distinguished uncles”, noting that despite challenges, they have continued to show goodwill toward her and have spoken kindly on her behalf. See More/Details
