Fast-rising Nollywood actress Damipe Adekoya has shared a humorous look into her childhood, recalling how her clergyman father held onto a grand, yet completely unrealistic, dream of her becoming a world-famous tennis player like Serena Williams.
The actress explained that aside from wanting her to study medicine and become a neurosurgeon, her father was oddly convinced she had a future in sports. He kept tennis rackets and balls at home, repeatedly calling her “the next Serena Williams” in hopes that she would naturally gravitate toward the game.
