Iran yesterday vowed to target ports, docks and “American hideouts” in the United Arabs Emirates (UAE) in retaliation for Friday’s US attack on Iran’s oil hub of Kharg Island.
Tehran asked UAE residents to evacuate areas near Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, Khalifa Port in Abu Dhabi and the UAE’s Fujairah Port, saying it was targeting branches of U.S. banks in the Gulf because U.S. forces had targeted Iranian islands from there.
Some oil-loading operations have already been suspended in the UAE’s Fujairah Emirate, a major bunkering hub and crude export terminal, after a drone attack and fire, putting more pressure on the international oil market. See More/Details
