According to a report by Times Of Israel on Sunday, March 15, 2026, Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has publicly warned of what he described as a potential scheme to manufacture a major incident in the style of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and falsely attribute it to Iran.
In a post on the social media platform X on Sunday, Larijani said that he had heard intelligence suggesting that remaining members of the network associated with financier Jeffrey Epstein were planning a fraudulent operation that would mimic the 9/11 attacks and attempt to place blame on Tehran.
“I’ve heard that the remaining members of Epstein’s network have devised a conspiracy to create an incident similar to 9/11 and blame Iran for it,” he wrote. See More/Details
