The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has broken his silence regarding the escalating tension and military actions involving Israel and Iran. In a video shared on his official Facebook page this Sunday, the cleric expressed deep sadness over the continuous loss of lives in the Middle East.
Ayodele warned that the cry of the innocent is reaching heaven. He specifically mentioned the Israeli Prime Minister, noting that the spiritual cost of the war is becoming too heavy. “Benjamin Netanyahu, God is not happy because innocent people are dying,” the prophet declared, adding that leadership should be about protecting lives, not just winning battles.
The atmosphere among followers who watched the video was one of concern and sobriety. Many Nigerians, who are already worried about how a global conflict might affect fuel prices and the economy, shared the video widely.
Ayodele urged world leaders to drop their weapons and embrace dialogue. He noted that if the retaliation continues, it is the ordinary families and children—who know nothing about politics—that will keep paying the ultimate price.
