This decision comes after an investigation by undercover journalist Umar Audu exposed the widespread use of unaccredited degrees.
The government plans to collaborate with agencies like NYSC and Immigration to enforce the dismissal, targeting thousands of individuals with unrecognized qualifications from non-licensed institutions in both countries.
Mamman noted, “And from 2017, anybody who attended a university solely run in English is wasting his time because it’s not an approved university. That is their policy.”
