In what is described as a surprised move, the structure is about to regroup ahead of the 2027 general elections. In a message to members of the group across the 36 states of the Federation and Abuja signed by the Convener, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, called out members of the group for action, which has left Nigerians guessing since it’s obvious the former President, Ibrahim Babangida at 83, may not likely run for the presidency again.

I hope this message finds you well. May the effort of our heroes past and our collective effort past and present never be in vain…
It is with great enthusiasm that I write to inform you of the revival of The Nigerian Project (TNP). This comes exactly on the 83rd anniversary of our great Principal, General Ibrahim Babangida- IBB, as a befitting birthday gift. Going forward, this gesture of love will enhance our continuous networking, felicitations, and an avenue for sharing useful information and ideas, as well as supporting our individual and collective growth.
As we renew our commitment to this vision and the vision of building a better Nigeria, it is imperative that we immediately begin the process of setting up and reviving structures across the nation.
In this regard, I am directed to call on all Zonal and State Coordinators to take the lead in reactivating their membership and establishing TNP structures in their respective states, Local Government Areas, and Wards. A National office has already been established in Abuja and will be unveiled soon. In addition, a Watssap group of our members is being created.
Consequently, your prompt action is crucial in ensuring that we build a strong and effective network that can drive our collective mission forward.
Please provide regular updates on your progress and any challenges you may encounter, so that we can address them swiftly and move ahead with our shared goals.
Together, we can and will make a difference.
