EKO HOT BLOG reports that ASP Babangida, who has been in DIA custody since June, faces allegations of supporting terrorist groups, including Boko Haram and ISWAP, in various operations across the country.

The detention order, issued on Wednesday in response to an ex-parte application (FHC/ABJ/CS/1146/2024) from DIA, initially requested a 90-day period due to the complexity of the investigation and recent developments involving bomb experts linked to the suspects.

However, Justice Lifu granted a 30-day detention, stressing the importance of conducting a prompt and lawful investigation.
