A report from The Times of Israel dated March 19, 2026, states that over twenty Hezbollah members died during heavy ground operations by Israeli troops in southern Lebanon the previous day.
The Israel Defense Forces reported that soldiers from the 36th Division eliminated many of these fighters through direct confrontations, while the Israeli Air Force executed precise strikes that added to the fatalities.
In one particular engagement, troops in the Golani Brigade noticed a group of Hezbollah operatives getting ready to fire anti-tank missiles at Israeli positions.
