Comrade Atiku Isa, President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has expressed strong views regarding the continued detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
In an interview with SYMFONI TV, Isa argued that Kanu should not be in prison, pointing out what he sees as inconsistencies in how other agitators have been treated across different regions of Nigeria.
Isa explained that whatever accusations have been leveled against Kanu, others have committed worse offenses yet remain free. He cited Sunday Igboho from the Southwest and Sheikh El‑Zakzaky from the North as examples, noting that both men faced serious allegations but were released. He questioned why Kanu alone continues to be held.
His words, “I believe Kanu is not supposed to be in prison. I give reasons for that. Whatever you will accuse Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to have done, Igboho did worse than that. Today he’s a free man.” See More In Details…
