The event featured an array of performances, from dance troupes from different parts of Igboland and beyond as they highlighted the diverse heritage of the Igbo culture.

Declaring the event opened as required by costums and traditions of the community, the Traditional ruler of the town, Igwe Mbamalu Okeke prayed for longevity, progress and good health for everyone but especially for Dr. Anakwenze whose tireless efforts have brought the community pride and placed it on the world map.

Igwe Okeke who explained that the life of Dr Anakwenze sets a selfless and exemplary precedence for all Igbo generations, advised Ndigbo to always strive to become good ambassadors of Igbo culture and traditions.

Speaking shortly after the conferment of the title, Dr. Anakwenze revealed that he has committed to supporting education and entrepreneurship, distributing resources to both the youth and women in the community, aimed at planting the seeds for future growth and self-sufficiency.

He appreciated all for the support in preserving the culture of the community and Ndi Igbo in general and noted that the day was not only a personal honor but a signicance to the potential for community upliftment through collective effort and strategic initiatives.

In a interview, a Caribbean and friend of the celebrant, Freda Paulino Sideroff, who also was conferred with the chieftaincy title of Nneora Abagana (Mother of All) described her visit to Nigeria as a homecoming, saying that her DNA shows that she is a true Igbo person..

According to her, the visit to Nigeria was to felicitate with Dr Anakwenze who is an American- based surgeon and former President of Anambra State Association in USA ( ASA-USA).

She revealed that the culture of the people of Belize, her home country, is the same as that of the Igbo, saying that now as a citizen of Abagana, she will continue to tap from their wealth of experience in the culturesl and traditions of the Igbo scattered around the globe.
