The Federal Government has inaugurated an Inter-Ministerial Committee to drive the operationalisation and management of Host Community Development Trusts (HCDTs), in line with the provisions of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA).
The inauguration, which took place on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Abuja, was presided over by the Permanent Secretaries of the Ministry of Petroleum Resources and the Ministry of Regional Development, marking a significant step toward strengthening coordination and enhancing the delivery of development initiatives to host communities.
