Security and Intelligence expert Yahuza Getso has identified five distinct groups driving terrorist activities across Nigeria’s northern regions, particularly in the North Central and North West zones.
Speaking in an interview on Channels TV, Getso outlined a structured classification that sheds light on the evolving dynamics of insecurity and the operational networks behind attacks, kidnappings, and armed violence in the region.
He explained that the first group consists of informants who play a critical enabling role. These individuals provide intelligence and other forms of support that make it easier for armed groups to operate within affected areas.
