Chidi Odinkalu, a renowned human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission recently reacted after a senior advocate identified as Jibrin Okutepa disclosed that several teachers who were unjustly redeployed by the Benue State government had received justice. According to the statements which were shared on his official X handle, he pointed out that Abia State should be considered.
The news regarding the judgement delivered by the supreme court on the case of ninety six teachers who were unjusty redeployed by the Benue State government generated mixed reactions after the reports went viral across various social media platforms.
Jibrin Okutepa, a senior advocate made the disclosure on his official X handle, accompanied by a striking comment. According to his statements, he pointed out that the agonizing journey of the teachers eventually came to an end.
Reacting, Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement which was shared on his official X handle, pointed out that Abia State should be considered.
According to his statements, he pointed out that during the tenure of former Abia State governor, Theodore Orji, several teachers from other states were kicked out of service, an act which rendered them helpless.
