In a recent video on Fox Tv, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has declared that American operations against Iran are progressing successfully, with key military and nuclear targets already impacted as part of a broader strategy to weaken Tehran’s capabilities.
Speaking on the ongoing campaign, Rubio outlined what he described as the central objectives of the mission. “We were going to destroy Iran’s nuclear [program]. We were going to destroy their missile launching capabilities,” he said, emphasizing that the plan was clearly defined from the outset.
According to Rubio, significant progress has already been made toward those goals. “We’re well on our way to achieving that goal,” he stated, adding that efforts are continuing to dismantle critical infrastructure. “Destroy the factories — and that’s moving forward.”
His remarks align with previous statements from U.S. officials that the primary aim of military action is to degrade Iran’s nuclear and missile programs rather than pursue regime change.
Rubio further stressed that the administration is following through on a structured plan introduced at the beginning of the operation. “Every objective the president clearly laid out on the first night of this operation is being taken,” he said, suggesting that the campaign remains on track.
While Rubio did not provide detailed operational specifics, he indicated that further clarification would come from defense officials. “Pete will speak to the specifics,” he added, referring to ongoing briefings expected from the Pentagon.
