A socio-political group, the Iyaloja General Movement for Renewed Hope Alliance (IGM), has felicitated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 74th birthday anniversary on Sunday.
In a statement issued by the National Coordinator, Mutiullahi Olaide Oladeebo, popularly known as Okadigbo Agege, on Sunday, IGM described President Tinubu as the architect of modern Nigeria who has continued to play a pivotal role in the nation’s political history.
Oladdebo, in the statement, praised President Tinubu for his uncommon passion for his country, adding that whenever the history of Nigeria is told in the future, a huge chapter would be devoted to his contributions to the country.
“President Tinubu, our leader, is an enigmatic figure who has sacrificed a lot for the country in the last forty years.
“At critical points in time, President Tinubu is on the right and positive side of the Nigerian historical epoch, either as a pro-democracy activist or as a political figure.
“It is no gainsaying the fact that at those critical times in Nigerian history, President Tinubu has not only joined other patriots to demand good governance and accountability as well as showing the way in terms of how the country should go for progress and development,” the group wrote.
According to Oladeebo, President Tinubu’s courage and efforts at reworking the country, though painful, are beginning to bear fruit.
He urged Nigerians to side with the current regime in its reform agenda, adding that Nigerians would, in the end, laud the bold initiatives of the President.
