According to a report by Daily Independent, on Tuesday March 31, 2026, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has stated that the joining of former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has boosted interest in the party.
ADC stated that its online registration platform recorded a sharp rise in new members within 24 hours of his defection, the party described Kwankwaso’s move as a major step toward building a coalition for change ahead of future elections.
ADC stated that he has asked his supporters across the country to join the party, this has already reflected in the surge of online registrations, ADC said Kwankwaso brings years of political experience and a strong connection to grassroots supporters.
The party believes his move will help create a credible alternative for Nigerians seeking new leadership, ADC stated that the country needs leaders who understand everyday challenges and are willing to act.
