According to a report by Fox News, President Donald Trump has offered a blunt defense of his decision to assassinate Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, linking the 2020 strike to the success of current U.S. military operations against Tehran.
Speaking from the Cross Hall of the White House, Trump characterized the late commander as a primary architect of regional instability whose absence has paved the way for current American air dominance.
During the broadcast, Trump did not hold back in his assessment of Soleimani’s character or his impact on American service members. He framed the General as a brilliant but malevolent figure whose tactical innovations cost countless lives.

“First, and perhaps most importantly, I killed General Qassem Soleimani. In my first term. He was an evil genius, brilliant person, a horrible human being, however, the father of the roadside bomb,” Trump said.
The President insisted that the world would be in a far more precarious position today if the General were still alive to coordinate Iran’s axis of resistance.
He suggested that the current degradation of Iran’s military infrastructure part of the ongoing “Operation Epic Fury would have been significantly more difficult had Soleimani been at the helm.
“And he lived, just horrible what he did. Iran would have been perhaps in a far better, stronger position had he lived. We would have had probably a different conversation tonight.”
