Raddatz underscored the immediate risks the pilots face, noting, “The pilots… know that Iranians would be looking for them.” She added that Iranian authorities reportedly issued threatening messages, warning, “Iran put out a message to shoot the pilots if they were found and a reward was being offered. Later, they said if they are found alive.”
The journalist also provided context regarding U.S.-Iran military tensions, referencing recent statements from the White House. “This comes after President Trump claimed… that the Iranians have no anti-aircraft equipment… their radar is 100% annihilated,” Raddatz said, highlighting the stark contrast between official claims and the current crisis.
