In a recent interview shared by Arise News, ADC chieftain Dele Momodu opened up on internal challenges within the opposition and his efforts to preserve unity in Nigeria’s political space.
Speaking on the crisis rocking the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Momodu revealed that he personally intervened in a dispute involving party figure Dumebi Kachikwu. According to him, his move was driven by concerns that ongoing conflicts could weaken democratic structures.
Recounting the encounter, Momodu said, “I went to Dumebi Kachikwu’s office and told him, ‘I heard you are fighting coalition. I said, don’t let them use you to destroy democracy.’”
He explained that his discussion with Kachikwu was frank and aimed at preventing further division within the party.
