Mansur muhammad dan-Ali is an outstanding military General of no mean repute, who’s known to be a professional security architect, on assuming office on November 11/2015, he immediately hit the ground running by recommending a complete review of the nation’s defense policy to enable it tackle domestic security challenges of the country and its economy.
So far, it’s very difficult to break his conduct, because he has distinguished himself as an outstanding security architect of modern world and as a fearless general who command mission and respect, his exemplary leadership style and choices of words is top-notch.
Dissecting his led global diplomatic missions among others in today’s Nigeria security architectures.
Dan-Ali inducted four (4) MI 35 helicopter from Russia deployed in the ground attack in the northeast to boost the operations of Nigeria Airforce which has also produced hydraulic accumulator diaphragms for the helicopters locally.
The defense architect met with Russian Armed forces and discussed military and security issues in Moscow, as part of his state visit to Russia, the sides held a substantial discussion on topical issues on the bilateral agenda in fields of military technical cooperation.
In a diplomatic meeting in ankara, the valiant general called for speedy ratification of the military training corporation agreement and the defense industry corporation agreement between Nigeria & Turkey by the parliaments of the two countries to enable the Nigeria military benefit from training at Turkish institutions and joint military exercise with the Turkish Army.
Dan-Ali was at a meeting of Islamic military counter terrorism coalition in Ryad, Saudi Arabia, where he appealed for humanitarian assistant programme for the north eastern Nigeria, and other areas affected by the activities of the insurgents, the Saudi government promptly responded to his call and offered food items worth Ten million dollars ($10m) in aid to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the northeast.
The military icon left indelible footprints through his policy of original and direct procurement of equipment from the manufacturer via govt to govt policy, eg, the procurement of 12 super Tucano Jets from USA.
The valiant general toured more than 35 countries and presented more than 200 addresses in high level bilateral meetings, conferences across the globe, all in quest for global security partnership to fight terrorism and all forms of crime and criminalities in and across the borders line.
Dan-Ali was also in New York at the United Nations peacekeeping ministerial meeting on uniformed capacities performance and protection of civilians.
The defense legend as chairman regional defense ministers Forum of MNJTF; consistently toured across, Chad, Niger and Cameroon consecutively, and was also at the African security Alliance with Egypt, Sudan where Nigeria contributed troops to UNAMID.
The defense icon was also at United Nations (UN) in 2019 to address UN peacekeeping experts on the relentless efforts by Nigeria government, as the third country who contributed the largest number of troops and observers across the continent.
The defense icon initiated the procurement of not fewer than 40 fighter Jets of different capabilities, including 12 Tucano Jets from (USA) and also acquired naval ships to strengthen the navy, it was during his 3/6 years in office that all this war apparatus were achieved & with the approval of president Buhari, he also developed the air wings of the army and navy and changed the entire armed forces into one of the potent fighting forces in the world…
The defense guru was also decorated with the following medals, forces meritorious and distinguished service stars, pass staff course (Daggar) command and field command medals, others include silver and golden jubilee medals and member national defense college Bangladesh Alumni, operation harmony and united nation african mission in sudan (UNAMID) medals, he is also a staunch member of the international military polo association and he also participated at USA & India international military tournaments.
The valiant general was also among the special envoy as international observer at the Niger and chad elections, under the auspice of CEN-SAD sahel African countries. “The defense icon is one of the most relevant military legend to ever walk the surface of this earth to contain terrorism, crime and criminalities, what a priceless contribution that were achieved in just Three (3) yrs, 6 months, when his tenure came abrupt in president Buhari’s second term”
