The former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has backed the withdrawal of passports from Nigerians who renounce their citizenship, calling it “the right thing to do.”

According to a post on his X handle, Senator Shehu Sani said, “When people decide to change nationality, their choice should be respected and ensure it’s enforced completely.”

Senator Shehu Sani added that US President Donald Trump’s doctrine is clear: ‘If you don’t like our country, go to where you like.
