Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has approved the appointment of Osiobughie Oyase Okhuemoi as his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity and official spokesperson.

Naija News reports that this was made known in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

Okhuemoi would join the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, in dealing with the Press.

The statement read, “It is hereby announced for the information of the general public that the Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo has approved the appointment of Mr. Osiobughie Oyase Okhuemoi as the Special Adviser (Media and Publicity) and the Official Spokesperson to the Executive Governor with effect from 9 December, 2024.

“Mr. Osiobughie holds the Bachelor of Arts (B.Arts) – I.V in Mass Communication from the University of Benin and a Professional Diploma in Public Relations from the Business Education Examination Council.

“He has also undergone a Digital Marketing Professional Course and has obtained an Executive Education Certificate in Brand Strategy from the Rome Business School, Lagos Nigeria.

“Until his appointment, Mr. Osiobughie Oyase Okhuemoi has worked as the Head, Corporate Communications, FGR Energy, Ikoyi, Lagos State, Senior Partner, Strategy and Design, MIH Strategy, Benin City, Edo State and Communications & Brand Strategist (In-House Consultant), Just Inches Digital Ltd., Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria.

“He has over 15 years of combined practical experience in Communication, Public Relations and Brand Strategy.”
