The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enita Ogunwusi and his entourage visited the former President, Muhammadu Buhari.
Naija News reports that the Ooni visited Buhari on Wednesday at his Daura residence in Katsina State.
A former media aide to the ex-president, Ahmad Bashir, made this known in a post via X, alongside photos of the visit.
He added that Oba Ogunwusi later visited the 60th Emir of Daura, HRH Faruk Umar Faruk, at his palace, accompanied by Buhari.
He wrote: “Today, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II) was in Daura with his entourage to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari. Before leaving Daura, the former President led the Ooni of Ife and his entourage to the historic Daura Emir’s Palace.”
In other news, former presidential media aide, Dr. Doyin Okupe has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot be held responsible for the economic mismanagement under the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.
Speaking in an interview with The Sun, Okupe highlighted the fractured nature of the APC, describing it as a “conglomerate of strange bedfellows.”
He argued that the amalgamation of political groups such as the Congress of Progressive Change (CPC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and others created an unstable foundation for governance.
