Chidi Odinkalu, a respected human rights activist and former chairman of the national human rights commission in a recent statement, revisited the actions taken by the former governor while at the helms of affairs in Zamfara State.
According to his statements, he pointed out that in 2022, the former Zamfara State governor funded ninety seven clerics to Saudi Arabia to pray for the stoppage of banditry and for peace to be restored.
However, according to Chidi Odinkalu, his actions failed to yield positive results, as more than fours years later, bandits activities had escalated, making his decision to send prayer warriors to Saudi Arabia a mystery.
