In the nine NPFL games that took place last weekend, six of the encounters ended in a win; interestingly, no away win was recorded across the country.
At Bako Stadium in Minna, Niger Tornadoes battered their visitors, Sunshine Stars 4-1. The five-goal thriller has pushed Tornadoes to the 7th spot on the league table, while Sunshine Stars have dropped to the 18th spot.
Rivers United returned to the top of the NPFL table thanks to their slim win over their visitors, Kwara United, while Kwara dropped to the 13th spot.
At the Onikan stadium in Lagos, in-form Kwara United could record a straight win against the league title contenders, Remo Stars even though the visitors finished the game with ten men.

Third-placed Enugu Rangers and 4th-placed Shooting Stars have 28 points and 27 points, respectively.
In the relegation zone, Akwa United is sitting at the bottom of the table with 16 points in 17 games. Bendel Insurance is in the 19th position with 17 points.
Eighteenth-placed Sunshine Stars, 17th-placed Nasarawa United, and 16th-placed Plateau United are all having 18 points each.
