Former Galatasaray coach Hamza Hamzaoğlu has expressed his views on the club’s potential pursuit of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, highlighting the financial challenges they may face.

There have been reports linking Osimhen with a permanent move to Galatasaray, especially after he showcased his talent by scoring a brace in the Trendyol Süper Lig match against Kayserispor over the weekend.

Osimhen’s impressive performance this season has certainly caught the attention of many, leading to speculation about Galatasaray’s interest in securing him permanently.

However, Hamzaoğlu has pointed out that the club would encounter significant financial obstacles in attempting to bring the talented Nigerian striker to Turkey permanently.

“It would be quite challenging for Galatasaray to sign Victor Osimhen. I would say they cannot do it,” said Hamzaoğlu, as reported by Habersarikirmizi.

Meanwhile, Buchi Laba, a close friend of Osimhen, has dismissed recent rumours suggesting a potential January transfer to Manchester United.

Currently, the Nigerian forward is performing brilliantly with Galatasaray, having netted 12 goals and provided five assists in just 15 matches across all competitions, solidifying his reputation as one of Europe’s standout players this season.

Despite the ongoing speculation, Laba asserted on X that these transfer reports are unfounded. He clarified that Osimhen does not have an agent or representative, as he recently parted ways with his previous agent, Roberto Calenda.

“Victor is now working directly with his lawyer. There has been no communication regarding a transfer with Victor, Napoli, or Galatasaray—no discussions whatsoever,” Laba wrote.
