A member of the Rivers Elders Forum, Asukewe Ikoawaji, has criticized the approach of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), urging it to focus on accountability rather than political confrontations with opposition parties.

He stated, “The government should be apologizing to the people, not attacking opposition parties.” According to him, such a shift in attitude would signal a stronger commitment to democratic values and responsible leadership.
