Speaking in his parting address at Tel Nof Airbase, Bar reflected on the early stage of his tenure, which coincided with widespread national demonstrations over judicial reform. He described the period as one of intense internal and external pressure on the military establishment.
“At the beginning of my tenure, we were in the eye of the storm, with the outbreak of the protests against the judicial reform,” Bar said. “We drew the clear boundary line between politics and influence and the IDF.”
